What are you baking now?

I have two chickens with lemon and zest under their skins roasting in the oven. Just made some gorgeous oat and bran muffins as well that I'm kicking myself for not adding chopped dates to, it would've been devine. I might do them again that way later today and freeze them all so the husband can have something to micro and have for brekky at work. I also made him protein cookies for after he rides his bike every arvo.

Got some friends coming over and want to make a side and a dessert but not sure what yet. Might unbury the potatoes and see what I have.

So yes.. chicken!

My sister-in-law came for a short visit on the 26th and I had already taken all the Christmas goodies to other family. So decided to make up a quick batch of Mexican Wedding Cake cookies only to discover that they are her all time favorite - and mine too!!

We baked three loaves of our Dutch Oven bread to take to my mom's for Christmas dinner. We did a loaf of Olive, one of cheese and the other was walnut/raisin that made get toast the next morning before hitting the road to get home to meet up with my sister-in-law. It was busy!!

Oh, my mom also requested Honey Whole Wheat for sandwich bread and baked three loaves and shared with other relatives as well.

If my brother hadnt eaten the ENTIRE loaf, I'd say this morning for a cup of coffee as well!

I've made the starter to make olive bread tomorrow.

I'm getting my CSA box today and I think peaches are in season so a peach pie might just be in order - friend of mine is having a super rough holiday so I might E-Pie her. I hope there's cherries though because there's a gorgeous thick cherry pie I've been wanting to make.

I am making two loaves of challah today. The husband has never had sweet challah (because I'm da only Jew in da village) so I plan on putting some golden sultanas all through it with some agave and whole wheat so it's a bit healthier.

Sold two dozen eggs... so, y'know, I only have 4 dozen left... what EVER will I make? heehee.

I'm in Australia. It's a little South of California. :3

Oh man, deliciousness - I just made some shortcrust and decided to roll it thin and put drops of jam into it and seal it off so we had delicious homemade poptarts for breakfast. I made about 20 so the rest are frozen to heat up when we need poptarts. Which is always. P:
