Kentucky Hot. Brown Bake

Fleischkuechla, done in the oven, and using fresh cabbage instead of sauerkraut. Essentially the same thing as Bierishki.

This is essentially browned ground beef, onions, and cabbage, cooked together, seasoned with black pepper and garlic, and wrapped up in white bread dough and baked at 350 degrees F for about 20 minutes.

Hi,
Does anyone have a home style recipe for single serving chicken or turkey pot pie?
Thanks,
JAC

I make chicken stock from bones and then make soup. The next day I thicken the left overs, add some cream and adjust the spices. I make a double pie crust and line the bottom of a 9x13 baking pan and then add the thickened soup, top with the other half of the pie crust and then bake until bubbly and the top is browned.

You can do the same thing on a smaller scale by making a single crust and using small baking dishes.

Try it and have fun! Adjust to suit your likes and then write down the recipe.

Let us know how it turns out!

Last weekend, I was given a LARGE cucuzza squash. DH hates cooked squash, so I had to come up with something new. Thought about Zucchini Bread. Looked up recipes and they all seemed pretty alike so I used this one: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Moms-Zucchini-Bread/Detail.aspx

Talk about delicious!! I think I have enough squash left to make 2 more batches, so that's today's job.
Thanks!

The zucchini bread looks very tasty.

I want to bake a version of some muffins I saw at Costco today. Oat blueberry with carrots and zucchini. They had eggs in them and if the eggs in a product are mystery eggs....that is they aren't labeled humanly raised or at least free range I won't buy them.
Anyway will start with basic oat muffins and take it from there.
