What are you canning now?

I've decided that I have to reclaim my house and laundry, as well as finish planning our school year (I homeschool).II must get my priorities straight....again. So any produce I can get fresh, will have to go into the freezer and be canned at a latter date. For now, I will live vicariously through whatever y'all are canning.

oh man now that sounds good, and might be fun to taste too!

I made 6 jars of tomatillo salsa, 3 more of spicy pickled green beans, 2 more bread and butter pickles and 4 "zany Zucchini Pickles" Sure hope they are good.

And I wish BBB would hurry up and send that fruit/veggie strainer I have a good 20+lbs of tomatoes looking at me for tomorrow.

Im growing tomatillos..id say in about a month Ill have tons...what recipe are you using for salsa?

I had about 3/4 of a watermelon in the fridge before we left on vacation. So I chopped it up for watermelon jelly and stuck it in the freezer. I have so much fruit in the freezer that I need to clean out and can - especially the blackberries as they are ripening now. I figure I can get a lot of it done next week - DH will be on a business trip and oldest DS will be at Boy Scout Camp.

My plum tree is also ripening, and I already made plum jam - gotta find other things to do with them.
