What are you doing for Halloween this year?

I just can't believe Halloween is right around the corner. Crazy how fast time is flying by!

Also, I tend to like the month leading up to the day of Halloween better than the actual day. My mom and I just watched Poltergeist and now I'm in the spooky Halloween mood! Next weekend I am going to plan a trip to a night time corn maze!

The one thing I really love about Halloween is that is always the first cold day of the fall here. Every year, it never fails.

I'll be at the American Legion handing out hot dogs and pop. The local Lions Club has held a kids' Halloween party every year for the past 40 years or so in our village of 800 people. Every kid in the village, and then some, shows up. Everybody does their trick or treating and then goes to the Legion for free hot dogs & pop, and costume judging by age group.

I did it every year as a kid. Now I am a member of the Lions Club and help out with it.

Busy road and no candy.We tried the mall one year,but the crowds were huge and the candy lame. Now we buy our FAVORITE candy and watch scary movies.Porbably watch the new episodes for THE WALKING DEAD.Nothing *too* scary for us...and ofcourse have our fill of candy.

We were going to drive to my moms place an hour away.She has the perfect enclosed/safe neighborhood,but she says hardly anyone passes out candy anymore.Not worth 2 hours of driving on a school night(with school the next day).

We never did mazes or haunted houses so maybe we will try that this year.
