What are your plans for the new year?

I'm finally getting my stock into a rotation. I'll be adding 6 chicks this spring to my flock of 13 - hopefully I'll be able to get rid of at least 2 cockrels since I have 4 I've always wanted Barred Rocks and now I have 5. I have 2 Cuckoo Marans. I'd like more marans but also Colombian Wyandottes, Delawares, and Easter Eggers. Where to start??!

And of course I want more ND goats... I have lots of work to do on the fencing, coop, and barn!!

Oh, this year I'll be limiting my hatching to 2 or 3 months this coming year (I hatched for 6 months this year). I'll be breeding LF Dark Cornish with a LF White Cornish side project (I have one white pullet, so I'm going to be breeding her to one of my Darks and trying to work a line of my own whites from the cross. I'll do one hatch each from my Cochins and my New Hampshires to replenish my stock.

I'm hoping to not have to do anything as far as chickens are concerned. 2018 was a new coop plus a new batch of chicks... that was plenty enough excitement (and money).

If anything, I'm hoping to sell hatching eggs at least once. Some $ made to pay for feed would be great.

Last year I got 3 more Cream Legbar females to hatch sexlinked Olive Eggers,
already had 1 CL hen and a Black Copper Marans cock.

This year I want to find an easy way to sell day old OE pullet chicks,
contact an avian rescue about taking the males for raptor feed,
and also selling some of the OE layers I hatched last year.

Funny, the other day it was so warm while doing chores,
it has been crazy mild here since one frigid and snowy week back in mid November,
that I momentarily forgot it was still December instead of spring and thought 'I should post an ad to sell some of the OE pullets'.

My list is long... Need to clear another pasture, build a couple more shelters and focus on hatching more Barred Hollands. I'll still hatch out some RIWs just to keep up with rotation and I have to figure out what I'm gonna do with the turkeys...

Well it's constantly changing...I plan to get more Silkies and a couple more Rosecomb Pullets.
Continue to breed and hatch Call Ducks. Buying another puppy.
Finally fishish fencing so my Mini Horse can be with my Arab.
Build a larger Rabbit pen for Bunny Boy..
Many projects I have in mind...
