Redhen, everything Joe said here is true, and I am the most fortunate of all women to have him. Anne

1.) What first attracted you to your partner?
I felt completely safe with him.

2.) What is the one thing you love most about them?
He's my rock! He's calm and reasonable, and I can be ALL over the place, and he just brings me back to earth again. And his ability and willingness to communicate.

3.) If you had to pick someone based on only one trait, would it be looks or brains/personality?
His capacity for a healthy relationship! I was single for a looooong time, and finding someone around my age (he's actually younger) that was single and open and emotionally healthy was not easy... It's just a bonus that he's a 6' former Marine with blue eyes to die for. And he cooks!!

He says he fell for me when I was in line for breakfast. I must have been half asleep but I don't remember it. We had friends in common and kept running into each other. He always flirted but I didn't take it seriously.
I got tired of dating players and wanted a fresh start. Some long distance friends said "come live with us". They introduced me to their other roommate when I got there. Surprise! It was Mike. We started hanging out and became great friends. A couple months later I finally gave him a chance and we married three weeks later.

He wasn't like anyone I knew before, so it took a long time to take him seriously, but he's got a huge heart. We broke up later but never forgot. once you are with someone that really loves you and has honor- it raises the bar alot. We spent 2 weeks camping in the middle of nowhere at 9000 ft ( the Rockies) in April with nobody there but each other. It was one of my best memories ever. With somebody else they might have drove me so crazy it would have been time to remember S.S.S.

I found him 15 years later through the internet. We remarried last Yule and know that we fit each other. He has brains but his heart won me over.

That's why the two of you looked so delighted in that first photo?

I see why the table is heavily laden with mixed drinks...

Hilarious, just simply hilarious!
I'd rather spend time with those goofs than with Paris Hilton any day...

1.) What first attracted you to your partner?
I was 15 at the time, so I'd have to say his eyes and the fact he was over 6 foot.

2.) What is the one thing you love most about them?
His patience, understanding and his love for me no matter how crazy I am!

3.) If you had to pick someone based on only one trait, would it be looks or brains/personality?
definitely brains/personality

My husband and I never dated. we were best friends and I moved to Cali leaving him in NC. A couple years later I was engaged to a guy from our church and went to visit him. I saw Mitch at church and realized that I still really liked him and could not marry anyone else. so I broke it off with Adam and just hung out with Mitch all summer.

When I was 20, Mitch called from NC and asked me if I would move to NC and be his roommate. So he flew out to Cali and we drove back to NC. We lived in an apt in Raleigh and a few days after I moved there, I realized I could not ever be just friends with him. So I started making plans to move out and he asked me one night

"Are you down?"

That was my proposal....and of course I accepted. We went to Dillon, SC and got married by a justice of the peace. My family was stationed in Germany and I didn't want a big wedding without my mom.

We've been married for 7 1/2 years and I love him more every day!!!!!

1. his gentleman charms and his KILTS!!

2. His gentleman ways and understanding

3. his sense of humor

We were in our 40's when we got married five years ago and it was the first for us. Well worth the wait!

I can not imagine without my dear husband. If I was to lose him today, I felt like I lost my right arm and love no other man like him. I am like a boat without a compass to guide me. Besides he is a good handyman when he puts his mind to it!

I've got one on the back of my car, but he's a sticker. I've got other ladies drooling till I step out and disappoint. They ask "Does your husband play bagpipes? No. Do YOU play bagpipes? No. Are there any around here? No.
