What breed, age & gender? Please :)

Hello,
We recently picked up these chickens. We were told they are laying hens and 8 months old but we’ve had them for about a month and they haven’t laid eggs. Can you tell their age? Gender? And breed? Or any other info will be very helpful. We are really wondering if they are even hens now? I’m so confused. We tried contacting owner to ask more questions but no answer. Thank you so much.

8 months doesn’t seem unlikely. Though I am not good at approximating ages.

Agreed! Blue andalusians are some of my favorites.

Definitely pullets! I am also surprised they aren't laying. Their combs look like they should be or are extremely close. Maybe they have a hidden nest? The stress of moving can also make them stop. I agree that they look like Blue Andalusians, so keep an eye out for white eggs

Agreed with the Andalusian.

The biggest difference between that and the austrolorop is the ears. Andalusians have white ears and will lay white eggs. Austrolorps have red ears and lay brown.
