Different breeds will get combs at different rates. I wouldn't write them off yet as Swedish Flower hens also have huge combs.

They were from random rare assorted breed from Meyer Hatchery, sexed 1 day old chicks.
In this picture the only pullet is the dominique(which I think is actually a barred rock) if you keep all of them then make sure you have enough hens. 10 hens per rooster is a good ratioHere does this help? Check out the pic I just posted above! I think you are right.From what I find they can come in a variety of colors. I wish Meyers would put up better pics of them.
