What breed is my rooster?

Yeah, those pea combs are usually pretty tenacious. I crossed a nice pea combed EE with a brown Leghorn and got this.. Then I put her under a barred Rock rooster and got this... So even at that second generation it wasn't a nice straight comb. Granted, my flock is a small sampling, but the pea combs are dominant over straight. Your rooster looks to have a nice straight comb, but then that beard had to come from somewhere, and he doesn't look Faverolles or Orloff :confused:
:idunno I looked at some pictures of the Birchen Marans and he looks a lot like them but he's got white feathers that almost look like lacing on his chest. :/

Thanks for the info donrea. I always thought that an EE was simply any breed mixed with Ameraucana blood which results in blue/green eggs. All of my EE's have rose combs, but I didn't realized that mixing pea comb with straight comb would result in those floppy (and quite amusing) rose combs, almost as if they couldn't make up their minds LOL
