What Breed is this YellaFella?

Got two of these when I hatched out some French Black Copper Marans. Never know what you may get when you purchase eggs from E-Bay!!

Haha, this is why I never trust eBay for hatching eggs. . .

It's a mutt. Likely has some Cochin or something in it, because I'm seeing possible vulture hocks and bright green legs, indicating some yellow legs or skin in there, too.

But hey, at least its a girl!

If it does have the wheaten coloration, It's a girl for sure...

could you explain to me what vulture hocks are? i see it mentioned round here and *think* its the thighs that look a bit velociraptorish...but guessing im wrong?

It could be a Wheaten Marans... That is what my wheatens look like as chicks and if you hatched them out of very dark brown eggs, then it's very likely. Especially since the boys can look very similar to Black Coppers and the Wheaten gene is recessive.

Especially with the feathered legs too... Yep, I think these might be Wheaten Marans.
