So I got chicks from TSC in March. They are about 5 weeks old. (We call her Ruby) So when we got Ruby the lady said that she was some sort of breed, bred for production. She said she will just be a red chicken when she is fully feathered. So I am curios to know, what breed is she actually? My guess is a RIR but please correct me if I am wrong![IMG] Thank you[IMG]

probably production red or a hybrid they go by different names like cinnamon queen, red comet, red star etc., but they are the same, she is not a RIR because she is too light

She is a light colored girlie so I don't think she is a RIR but it is possible. My first year raising chickens I got two Rhode island reds and one has died I was so excited rausing them that I forgot what they looked like around her age. Lol :) maybe a red sex link or all the things chicklover 1998 said. I'm not 100% sure sorry those are my best guesses :) I hope the best to you
