What breed/mix is this?

This guy showed up at our house about a year ago, and hasn't left since (no neighbors close enough with chickens to be theirs, we figured someone just released their rooster chicks into the wild instead of culling them). He's absolutely gorgeous and very tame, and we'd like to know more about what kind of breed(s) he is. Let me know if you have any suggestions!

I'm going to go with single comb, but here's a closer picture of his head!

Hmm, either he has a single comb and someone tried to dub him and did a poor job of it or it's a mix of comb types that came out really weird. Difficult to say. But he's a very nice looking mixed breed rooster.
