What caused my roosters to panic? You'll be surprised!

haha my little bantam will try to attach anything that comes near him including my albany rooster who is 3 times his size haha

No, not this one, although I have butchered other bantams. This is why I don't set bantam eggs under broody hens because there's not much you can do with extra unwanted bantam roos except to eat them, and it's almost not worth the effort. I already have (um...counting) 5 bantam roos running around, each with his own little flock of bantam hens to escort around the yard. I thought I'd try to sell Squeezy at the county fair in Jan so I've been keeping him in the Dinner Theater so he won't start roosting 'way up in the oak tree like the rest of the bantams do. If he doesn't sell at the fair I'll let him run loose with the others back home.​

Squeezy continues to terrorize any other rooster he chooses, and he still isn't intimidated by anyone's size. Yesterday I brought home a HUGE Buff Rock rooster who weighs about 12 pounds, which is about 4 times bigger than Squeezy. I put the Buff Rock, "Old Yeller", in a wire dog crate for the night. Squeezy was roosting in an oak tree with some other bantams. This morning I found that Old Yeller had gotten out of the crate. Can you guess where we found him? He was hiding in the butterfly garden trying to keep out of Squeezy's way! After we put Old Yeller back in his crate Squeezy spent the rest of the day puffing up & threatening him each time he passed by the crate.

I have a flock of 14 chickens (1 roo, 13 hens) living together, including 2 little bantam hens and 1 huge meatie hen. The funniest thing... everyone is afraid of my meatie girl, Maude... EXCEPT one of my bantams... they are best buddies these days. So, I go out there and throw scratch grains in the run and Milly and Maude eat right beside one another, with Milly chasing anyone who dares to get too close to them away.

Don't even try telling those bantams that they're little, they won't believe you.
