What did you do in the garden today?

Good morning gardeners. I had a good day yesterday. Put another 16 cubic feet of mulch in the main garden. It still looks like it could use a couple of more bags. I think the chipmunks are stealing it. LOL! I Picked up some flowers to plant in the front yard. I picked up a small roll of plastic poultry fencing and set up an area outside the chicken run and let all the girls, including the babies, do an hour of supervised "free ranging." I even let Ms. Vicious out of solitary to see if her attitude adjusted. It went well and when the hour was about over the mother hawk across the street let us all know she was about to start hunting for dinner. After I put them back into the coop I cleaned the grills and tidied up my patio area. Today I plan on spending some time with the fruit trees and perhaps getting some flowers planted. Have a great day everyone.

Good morning Gardeners :frow
Somethings are starting to bloom and set fruit.
Grapes
Strawberries
And The Marion Berries have blossoms (my favorite).
For giggles and grins with all this rain I threw my extra seeds from last year into my
(What I call it) junk dirt. Ash, straw & dirt and rocks that haven’t been worked yet.
I musta’ had me a senior-episode
Spaghetti squash, butternut, turbin, radishes, I didn’t write this stuff down lol so I really can’t remember.
May the best plant win!
And...I planted this jar of hollyhocks :he
I blame all this behavior on the weather and lack of sunshine.

Heading out to water everything I planted yesterday. The storms passed 8 miles to either side of us. Lots of light and noise, but no water. SO....

I still cannot bring myself to get the veggies in the ground until the worst of this passes tuesday. So I'll drain the rain from the cells outside and feed the plants again.

OH, bought bulb planter to use to make holes for my starter cell plants. Broke on hole #2. Grrrr. Back to the post hole digger.

Veggies still in flat prison. Watered the ditch. Now we'll get flooding rains for the next three days.

Spent the warm humid day installing electricity to another part of the barn so we could plug in industrial stall fans for the Boys, and then a pair of wind through doors on the stalls so air would flow through and they'd come into the shade.

Shearing on Friday! That'll help too.
