What did you do in the garden today?

My brother talked to the nurse at the hospital today. The nurse said my Mom ate a little and did a little physical therapy today. None of us were able to get a hold of her because she was sleeping. She said the pain was starting to lessen a little bit ( according to the nurse). The nurse also said that they may send my Mom to rehab tomorrow. Hopefully they plan to do that by transport ambulance because my work week starts at 4AM, so I won't be available until basically Monday.
Also my husband came home from subbing today to say that he thinks he is coming down with something again. :barnieI guess he must/might have picked up a bug when he was in Illinois for the Gaming convention.
Good night y'all. I'm off to bed!

Jeg snakker Norsk også! The bread trough is a couple posts back. My horse is a fjord horse, but my friend is a Swede, and wants a dala like the rest of the town has in front of their shops. this is my fjordhorse. I am totally ticked off that the sealer I used has yellowed and it wasn't supposed to. it's 4x4 feet. I'll get a pict of the dala up when I have it. :DView attachment 2014939
I've never seen one before. Absolutely amazing, bravo!!! (& Nice dreamy backdrop!!! 😍) Well... some of us are living up to their potential... :p I definitely need to step up my game... think i'll mow the lawn.

Hey there @TropicalBabies check out @LittleBrownie post trying to identify a “fruit” from her yard. It looks like some sort of citrus to me by looking at the leaves. But you have more experience with citrus than a crusty old New Englander.
I did see @LittleBrownie s post and it does look familiar but I can not put my finger on it... Hmmm. Mystery is not solved yet? I'll see what I can do, I have some good reference books. :D :D :D ;)

Very nice!

Just looked a bit online, and they’re definitely berries from the blue potato bush. I figured they were a whole other wild plant.. (the name from earlier)
They turn from green to an orange (from what I’ve seen, and none are red)
(I found these pics online)

I am thinking some kind of nightshade like some others on here. Here's a screenshot of a similar looking plant that is a variety of nightshade.

I don't like poison - but every morning when I water, I have to empty every spring mousetrap I have. I don't even make a dent in the mouse population.
Try building a bucket trap. Its a strong over a bucket with a piece of wood IB the middle that you bait with something like peanut butter that's sticky. The mice try to get the bait and fall into the bucket. I have used one, but there's people who have problems like yours that swear by them.

So, I am curious. You are talking about these being cherry bushes. I have never heard of cherries growing on bushes, only trees. Are these "real" cherries?

We have a cherry bush. It has the sour pie cherries. It has multiple spindly trunks coming right up from the ground and is just a little over 8 feet tall at its center. We seldom get any fruit because the chickens hang out in its shade on the ground at its base and also in its braches when it has fruit. They love it!

They are as real cherries to the best of my knowledge, which is far from being a botanist mind you. I know the ones I have, Joel and Jan, are hybrids so they were likely selectively bred to be bushes. The Nanking is a natural occurring cherry that grows on a bush/shrub as well, but the plant can still get 15ft tall whereas the varieties I have are expected to get just 4ft tall.
