My seeds say the same thing from Amazon. They're shipping essential stuff faster than non essential.

Cleaning out! Trying to get the girls to do some of the work but they seem lazy. Smh. Here's my sassy girl Amelia on the gate. She thinks its funny that I think I can fence her in. Still cold here in Michigan.
Gotta get a move on the garden though. Locked down so got nothing more pressing going on.

Currently sunny and 70!!!! The bees are ALIVE !!! They're out eating like little piggies and I saw drones. So no clue if the queen is really dead or not, but I'm not going to bother them to check. If she's dead, the drones will make another. If she's alive, she'll make more brood. They're eating like MAD! Good to see. PHEW.

2 new gardeners here great to have more at it... Do live the gate out of limbs what a great idea..
Did get the photos of planting starting to rain as I did it.. Do not have to water more
See my herbs that are there year after year did put onion, beef eater tomato and carrots as seeds all others where starts bought .., One of my stalks of brussle from last year is showing green so added new plants but left that one others where brown not alive same two tires used for the new plants.. Actually bought two sweet william pea plants

Aloha all! Wow too many posts for me to catch up on now. I got alerted about chicken proofing a garden but never found the post and realized I am waaaay behind.

So, to answer the chicken vs garden I did see @BReeder! s post and thought it spot on. I myself use PVC because it was cheap and easy. I have a small back yard garden. It works wonderfully... is that a word??? It is on the garden thread!!!

As Blossom is happy to model, it works at keeping her out and has so far stood up to the 4 large breed chicken stress test w/o caving. It is 1/2 PVC plus corners cut to size and hard plastic fencing DH got for free and zip ties. I did lids and they work great. My bigger boxes have doors.View attachment 2061541
I have been able to enjoy eating what I grow again though it is not as pretty and charming and a tiny bit more work than before.

I love this TropicalBabies! All the green and chickens is just what I need!! I miss HI and all the wyld chickens and kitties. Have family over there and use to go every summer. I need something like your set-up b/c my ladies and gents are free-range...meaning I can't grow anything unless its above the ground or high up. I'll have to show hubby this

and cold front just came through.....now 45 degrees with howling north winds. LOL.
so in other words....Wednesday.

Have 12 surgical caps cut out and ready to sew. I'll do them assembly line tomorrow morning and drop off and pick up 10 more, for drop off on Tuesday.
