- Your Alpaca's are adorable and I bet what ever else you have on your farm is pretty darn cute too... but back to those Alpaca's... I, of course, would come up with some weird excuses, like borrow sugar or buy eggs, maybe bring carrots or whatever you would allow. Heck, I'd volunteer to clean out their stalls they are so cute.
Maybe you could post some photos for this old childless mother/nutty chicken gal???!!! Tee hee!
Yup we did towers two years ago. They worked well BUT took a LOT of water. I recommend a center tube for watering and only plant the edges and plant a LOT! We gave up eating potatoes that year too, so I gave them all away.garden will be good. Some people construct potato towers. @WthrLady constructed some and has pics, if Iām remembering correctly. Iām putting them in raised beds. So far so good with plant and forget. This year I will hopefully mound them at least once as @BReeder! mentioned for a bigger harvest. My plan is to plant them in the spring, hopefully next week. But a later planting for a later harvest is also fine. Just remember to water consistently and well while they are flowering. Let them die back then harvest a bout a week or two later. Once harvested, let them ācureā in a well ventilated area before storage, for longer storage. Some types don't store as well as others.
Can you post a pic?Made 15 tomato cages today , 18" diameter x 5' tall . Made them from concrete reinforcement mesh .
