What did you do in the garden today?

Haven't been able to work in the garden do to rain hopeful Wed. beds dropped two inches in soil from all the hard rains we've had this month. Mulch tomorrow with rabbit manure and grass clipping to bring help them back.

Hmm, a mystery forager, darn it. I didn't do much: a little watering, a little weed pulling. Maybe I'll get out there later. I saw some hole in the pea leaves, another mystery to be solved.

Politicalcenter: I hear you re: retirement. I'm tired too. Luckily, I only work per-diem now. My body couldn't take a full time load. But... oh how I crave my at home time. See and smell things growing. To hear the wind in the leaves of the trees, hear the birds calling to each other. And to interact with my flock, enjoy the garden: it's a balm to the soul!

I am counting the days.

I also like to sit in the shade and watch the goats.

Watered tomatos with miracle grow; watered onions and garlic; weeded area between 2 rows of tomatos; weeded the onions before watering.

Boys wanted stir fry so they collected: 1 onion at the scallion stage, young kale, Asian greens, flat peas. From the pantry was added: butter, water enough to steam, soy , sesame oil and garlic salt. THen down the hatch!!
