What did you do in the garden today?

Tomatillos are doing well this year
I can not grow those for the life of me.
Other people can grow them like weeds...

Dennis, those cactus flowers are beautiful.

I planted some yellow summer squash today, mulched some of my fruit trees and comfrey. Chased chickies out of the garden with the hose, mulched 2 rows of corn with hay.

I think I'll try tomatillos next year, and maybe some ground cherries.

Found two small zucchini this morning, and sauteed them with garlic & mixed them into scrambled eggs with a little sharp cheddar for DH Father's day breakfast.

Squash blosssoms sound good. This week I pulled some potato volunteers out and fried the tiny nubs. They were good. I have blossoms on at least three of my tomatoes, if not more. Ive been harvesting radishes, and I'll have lettuce this week, along with a little arugula.

Transplanted some Ozark Beauty strawberries into the garden this morning, as well as some marigolds in amongst the tomatoes.  Finally counted how many maters I had actually set out and they number 51.

Also did a urine foliar spray on the plants that can use it right now.

Bee, canning up produce from 51 tomato plants will give you HOW many jars? Lol. Keep us posted on the urine spray. Bet it helps a lot. :D
