Sure I'm finishing up the warp on this set now. Then I have to order more heddles and wind it all up again. I'll get photos when I do the labeling. The last rug that needs tied is on the kitchen counter, but I'm giving my back a break from standing.

Didn't make it outside today. Winds started gusting to almost 40. I'm not a fan of working in the wind.

I took a class in weaving. Wow, I had never known that dressing a loom was so much work and took so long!

A friend said, "Not only that, but if you want to fix a mistake, it takes just as long to un-weave something as to weave it."

LOVE weaving, love the planning, loathe the dressing and slaying.
I have a sectional beam which allows me to skip a step on the set up, but requires MORE work to get that bit right so you don't screw up the next step. Which I've done on more than one project.
I've learned that once you start making a mistake, to walk away for the day, as they just cascade from there.

I did it! I finalized my veggie garden plan, wrote up when to start/plant what and how many, figured out how much of everything I needed to order, and placed my orders.
I now have nothing to do until seed starting begins in about a month, except for cleaning my seed starting supplies, buying seed starting soil (and solo cups for up-potting), and gathering materials for building the garden fence.

Well, several hours, $200, and a new battery later, my truck is fixed. On the upside, I got to spend a ridiculous amount of time at the feed store today. They had onion starts and seed potatoes but I didn't buy any today. I might go back this week and get some though....

My gardens today. The raised bed garden is in the foreground and the “regular “ garden is in the background.

This is Marshmallow. He is my “automatic garden fertilizer “. I have his cage mounted over 1 corner of my raised garden. He does have a 3 sided enclosure in the back right corner and I gave him a blanket to snuggle in, so he is protected from drafts, rain and direct snow. This storm blew snow inside his cage so I had to clean it out so he wasn’t mostly on snow. Oh and he does have a board in his enclosed corner to let him get up off the wire. My husband thought his feet might get cold.
In the summer I will move him to a spot that gets some shade so he won’t bake in the sun and heat.

Hello gardeners. Not much time these days, life is busier than usual at the moment. I did get outside today and got a few things accomplished. It’s therapy and I need it right now. I used some blocks I’d purchased to make steps for the ducks to make little walls to help slow down water flow. I don’t have a bunch of dirt laying around, but these will help and I have them. I hope you’re safe and well. I’ll get caught up soon!

I right I added a long sweet pepper to one of my seed orders. Apparently I did not... So I went to 3 stores today looking for long sweet peppers, ideally corno di toro or marconi. I ended up having to get a mix packet of corno di toro (I wanted these) and banana peppers (I didn't want these). The only other sweet peppers available were bells and one store had pepperoncini. More I need to try to see if I can differentiate the seeds or at least seedling plants after they sprout because I don't want banana peppers this year.

I thought that the ducks had gone to your sons’s house or something?
