What did you do in the garden today?

I’m not all that fond enough of rhubarb to grow it myself. My former neighbor’s husband planted some on the property line. Before she sold the house I offered more than once to process it for her. She didn’t want anything to do with it. Although I’m not fond of, it makes me sad to see it wasted year after year. I’m hoping the new owners will be more interested in it.

I just wanted to share a picture of my cute little lunch box that I'm using as my seed storage. :)

I put in my Horseradish and Rhubarb "Victoria" order in yesterday at Park Seed.
I can't believe how many people don't like rhubarb, lol. Rhubarb cobbler and Rhubarb muffins are so amazing. My husband used to eat it raw! I might try that once...
Rhubarb is just celery with a better public relations company. :lau

I have rhubarb growing here. Planted the crowns last Spring and hope to harvest some this year. Last year I let them grow without harvesting hoping they grew roots well and fed the tubers so they come back this year. I used crowns ordered from Gurneys. A few of them rooted and didn't grow so I picked up some crowns at the local chain agriculture store and planted them. I think I have Victoria and Glaskin's. There's 5 or 6 plants expected to come back this year.
