My friend told me about Work Sharp knife sharpener. Said it got them really sharp. I bought one and it came today. Does a really good job. I am terrible at sharpening. This makes a big difference for those of us who are not good sharpeners.

My husband recently bought a funky new sharpener - not sure I'm going to let him touch my good knives yet, but he did a good job on a couple of my not Wusthofs.

Beware, my father brewed nis own beer, but something wasn’t perfect, he always got headaches after consumption , the neighbors who taught him to brew beer ( they always did) also procured „headache“ beer..

thank you. I'll stick to the store bought beer. I found some beer kits but they are not cheap. makes no sense to brew at home and risk to get headache beer.

Whoo hoo !!! i found the big nutcracker!!

So, I picked walnuts off the driveway (I tried hulling them by driving over them)

Unfortunately, it was a pecan cracker not a walnut cracker. I didn't come anywhere near cracking one of the walnuts.

I like the driveway method better than hulling them by hand or by soaking them. Next time, I'll try spreading them further apart.

FYI the nuts need to dry before cracking. I spread mine out in the basement. You will know when they are dry enough by test cracking. Nut meats should be dry not moist.
