What type of peppers did you use in the spicy salsa? I have been using jalapenos, but my salsas are not coming out with any heat.Good morning gardeners. Yesterday was eventful. Got my pellet stove cleaned and found out I was not doing the monthly cleaning properly. The very nice young man who did the work showed me what to do and cleaned the stove inside and out so it looks brand new. I picked the rest of the tomatoes this morning. We may get frost overnight tonight so I thought I should just pick what I can. I got enough green tomatoes to make my own green tomato salsa verde. And I still have cilantro leftover from the spicy salsa I made on Monday. Although, I will need to buy some more 1/2 pint jars for jam. The painted walls in my sunroom look so much better. Even though I'm not finished it is still a much more cheerier look than brown on brown walls. I still have some baby poblanos and jalapenos in the pots in the front yard. I watered them really well and may cover them this evening just in case we do get frost. The temps are going back into the high 70's to low 80's for a few days so they have more time to grow. The pillow cases look really nice @WthrLady. Have a great day everyone and happy canning!
Your dahlias are just gorgeous, Sueby!Afternoon. Not much going on here, collected some more tomatoes.
I hope we dont get any frost here, my dahlias are finally starting to produce.

Garden is slowing. Skipping one and two days between picking to manage 2 gallons of tomatoes.
I am liking the SanMarzano tomatoes for processing. A LOT of meat there.
4 hour round trip for some day tripping. Driving is exhausting when there is nothing to look at between point A and B.
Mustard seeds getting closer to harvest.
