What did you do in the garden today?

I built two more massive sprinkler heads for the pasture. I can't loose it again after finally getting it back after 4 years.

The pollen and harvest dust and smoke is out of control. We need rain to clear it out. My sinus' hurt so badly, I can't even wear my glasses.

I will snip the tomatoes tomorrow and take down the shade cloth as soon as the wind dies down.

The freeze dryer has developed an issue with keeping a vacuum seal.
The door seal is fine, so I changed the oil and installed a heavy duty brass gas shut off valve instead off their cheap one.
We'll see.

It does. But they just replace it with cheap again. New valve was only 8$.

I haven't been out to the garden yet because I took my oldest grandson to get a new car and 7 1/2 hours later I made it home.

Took it the owner of Nachos here wen there for dinner.

Looks like Francine brought me 2 inches of rain according to the gauges in the garden. Restacked the Greenstalk which I had disassembled so it wouldn't blow over with the heavy wind gusts that were predicted but never materialized. Glad everything still alive got a good drink!

DH also brought me home a bamboo cutting. He really wants some planted even though it can be very invasive. Since it was raining yesterday, he plopped the cut end down in the mud and left it outside. This morning I picked it up intending to cover it with rooting hormone and put it in water. To my surprise it already had an INCH LONG root growing out of the node and several more root nubs started! All that in just 16 hours in wet mud! Wow... So I cleaned it up a little and stuck it in some wet soil in a pot....

Went out to the garden and got the water going on it. Picked about 5-6 green beans. Need to get back out there and pick my cherry tomatoes.
