What did you do in the garden today?

I did some hoeing and weeding this morning. We have our first baby cucumber! Pickling right around the corner! We have fresh dill so I will try some sprigs in the dill this year.
Anyone have problems w tomatoes after transplanting? We have some dramatic beefsteaks! They’re like, I’m going die!! 😂 🤔
Also picked a bouquet of flowers. Daisy checking them out.
Beautiful flowers! Even more beautiful cat!

DD took a picture of our diva (Bella) this morning... 😊 All of our pets are so ridiculously spoiled... We don't show her anymore so she is basically just a pasture ornament... Not that she minds a single bit.

I’ve been harvesting peas over the last week or so, trimmed tomatoes up a bit, pulled a few potatoes just to check them, and finally received my commercial bird netting for my new blueberry setup (I refuse to give any up to our winged takers —— they get plenty of food and treats from else already). Never quite understood how shipping logic would think that sending a package directly over us from Florida to a place in Pennsylvania (way north of us), to then send it somewhat over us again to a place in West Virginia before sending it to our front door makes sense. I mean —— the shortest distance between two points is still a straight line, Right? Or did my early basic, logic driven math classes in school mislead me?

Reducing costs of sorting center by elimination and consolidation building/personnel. The heck with pollution and timeliness.

I’ve seen packages pass by me several times, hitting 5 or 6 locations before landing on our doorstep. Then, of course, the delivery date and time they gave you two weeks ago comes and goes only to be updated to another week at the very last minute on the original delivery date, WITH THE PACKAGE SHOWING UP THE VERY NEXT DAY:he

Interestingly enough this shipper,FedEx, has a distribution center in the town of Seaford about 20 minutes from here, which is where the package is actually sent out for delivery. Knowing this makes it even more mind boggling that this particular package went to three wide ranging areas in this region before landing in Seaford.
