What do folks do besides take care of chickens I mean!

I have pieces in a local restaurant. And am currently getting approved to join a local art association.
I put 4 pieces in a local show this summer and I was thrilled when they put that piece over the fireplace of the warming house where the show was. Unfortunately they didn't sell which is why I'm joining the Bearshtadt group.
If I wasn't such a dunce with the computer I would put my work on a website. I am going to try to get the ones I have on my photobucket like this one is. I did one of a hen with several chicks that I love.
To be fair to the original artist the painting you see here is my humble reproduction of Thomas Hoynes "flying flukes" I fell in love with it and had to try and paint it and I think I did a fair job.
I usually work from a photo. Although my picture taking could use help.

Well...let's see here...I am a wife to my DH, who is just plain spoiled rotten!

But he spoils me right back, I'm a mother of four---ages, 6,5,4 and 2 1/2, I am an on-line pregnancy couselor(been doing this for over 6 years now), I am a certified teacher, I home school now, I am a wild-ife rescuer...been doing that for 15+ years(currently have a three month old squirrel that I got from a day old)...I used to draw a lot--life is busy. so not much time for free time. I'm sure I could probably think of lots more if I thought about it, but my brain hurts...I've been up in my son's room painting all morning...killed some brain cells!!

ugh...wellll, I don't know how to say what I do...I do home parties...mostly for women selling things...not tupperware but uh...similar idea...sorta. ROFL, don't chase me off the forum, please!! It's not G-rated stuff, so I can't really talk about it here.

Apart from that I homeschool three wonderful kids. I have two dogs, 4 parakeets, two bunnies and a cockatiel that keep my hands and time busy too.

Career:
I've got a BA in French and a M.Ed in Counseling. I use those degrees + 10 years university administration work to manage international programs for students at a large university. It's a fun and interesting job.

Other hobbies:
* Urban localvore: canning, growing as much of my own food as possible, chicken farming!!
* Gardening in the spring/summer/fall
* Knitting in the winter
* Monthly French group meetings (dinner among friends entirely in French)
* Just started playing the violin again after 12 years' hiatus
* Former WoW addict, now reformed

ETA - Worked briefly (14 mos) for a charity auction company. Worst 14 months of my life: terrible employers who made lots of money off the backs of non-profits. Served to remind me that my passion is international education.

Oh yeah before this I was a Truckdriver for 30 years.. long haul Sea to shining Sea and about everywhere in between.. I haven't been everywhere it just feels that way..

I'm a teacher of the learning disabled at a small high school.My DH is a grain farmer and employed at home with Silent Drive truck suspensions. Our eldest DD is 22yr old, newly married and is an Ag teacher at a small town high school, her spouse is a field operator, spreading fertilizer, anhydrous, etc.., my youngest DD is 16 and a junior in h.s.
We spend our spare time (what's that?) gardening, mowing, going to h.s. football games, antique tractor pulling, camping. DH is an avid bow and gun hunter . My soothing balm when I get home from school? spending time with the chickens, they dont talk back like teenagers!
