Need some help with my one button quail chick's feet. I sent these photos to my avian vet, who said "Infection, likely septic arthritis, can happen from a yolk sac infection, could be from pecking or other trauma." However she is off this weekend and I haven't heard back from her about what to do about it.

This little guy is in a pen and being raised by his momma with his two brothers. I've noticed NO pecking at him, and he hasn't been pecking at himself, either. He hatched in pine bedding. No males in the pen, just momma and chicks and an Aunt, who is recovering from being eggbound. She loves helping out with watching the chicks, and the chicks love following her about when momma is resting. Little guy is the smallest chick, as he hatched two days later than the others. Temp and humidity in the pen all good.

That dark spot isn't poo or anything stuck to him, it's some kind of growth. Also, he's a little wet because I had his feet soaking in warm water.
So... What do I do to fix this? Any help or advice is much appreciated! Thanks!

This looks like an injury.
Are you 100% sure there's not something that he could be hurting his feet on?

Not unless there was a sharp bit of pine in there. Both feet, however, are puffy. My other quail chick's feet are tiny and spindly. I can't say if he or another chick is pecking at his feet when they're all in the nest box at night.
