Every time that I hatch out a clutch off eggs the other chicks that already hatched out play soccer with the eggs that are pipping or not hatched out yet. Sometimes I think that they are party animals in the bater. I used to get so worried sitting next to the bater hearing the rumbling and crashing into each other. I really can't believe that my chicks don't hatch out with brain injuries or concussions. Usually everything works out ok.

it is the hovabator so the windows can't come out. I tried popping out the plugs, but, it only went to 80%....should I leave them off longer or is that not good? UGGGHHHH!!! I did not realize this would be so stressful. I definately think there are some that are just done...didn't make it out...did they drown? Their air sacs were good and they were moving on day 25....

Higher humidity won't hurt the hatching chicks, you only need to worry if the already hatched chicks seem to be gasping for air. And not all that pip are going to make it. I'm sorry, try not to feel too bad.

Thanks Greengoddess as I think that is where you get stuck....putting it all on yourself because you are the one hatching them. HOW CUTE is it that the 4 that have hatched respond to my voice! They saw me and were fine and then I started talking and they were so stimulated by my voice. TOO CUTE!
