What do I feed newly hatched quail?

My coturnix quail just hatched only for me to realize that I have no gamebird starter.

Can I give them adult gamebird feed or should I stick with hard boiled eggs until I can get to the store?

I'd crush/grind up some adult gamebird feed and add a small amount of grated hard boiled egg yolk.

I 2nd, what @sourland ,said....also get either turkey starter crumbles or a 24% starter, either will have to be crushed a little bit more for about a week, after that they will not need the feed to be crushed anymore.

Even chick starter will work. I bought that this time, but last time all I bought was canary seed mix and they made it to adulthood. But they lived outside and were adept at pulling up worms from 2 days old.

I think my last batch was on non-medicated chick feed that I made into a damp mash so they could eat it with no losses out of the 5 (including one raised by a phoenix with her own chicks).
