What do people do with feral pigeons?

It is legal to collect and keep pigeons in all of the US. They are a invasive species, and have no protection what do ever. so you don't need to double check laws, as long as you are not in private property.
Really? My town/city/whatever it is now doesn't let us. They consider them their property

Well, are they not allowing it in city property? Or everywhere? They can stop it in their property, but if it's public, you can catch them. why do they like them? Most would can't stand them.
I don't think they like them either. They live under our underpass in the middle of town but we got in a lot if trouble when we went to catch some. Were threatened with fines if we did it again

Thats pretty silly of them. If I were you I’d find a different underpass in a different town ;)

Maybe they were under the impression you were going to sell them and make $
That’s the only reason I could see for them stopping you.

Huh... Well, was the land private or public? If it was private, you probably shouldn't have caught any. But, always wear nicer clothes, and be willing to explain what you are doing if asked. But, go ask some farmers, and they will know someone with a barn who will give you a few. :)

We're you threatened with fines for trespassing or catching them? We're you using lights at night? that is illegal to use lights at night to catch wild animals, except for fishing. That is true for most places, but not for all.

Public land. We are the farmers in my area. Oh well. I do my best to just avoid our enforcers here.
