Birdnutz,
I am starting to work on Seramas, too. I'm trying to breed to the Malaysian standard. My first eggs are coming in the mail today or tomorrow. Maybe in the spring we could swap some eggs????

In spring I will have bearded silkie eggs and salmon faverolle eggs, hopefully.
I may ben looking for more colors in silkies, I have blue and black right now. I may also need to get new blood in the sf's and maybe a blue. I am in Mississippi.

I will want in on that!

Hey birdnutz,
I have a wonderful mixed flock of birds and egg colors. I get anywhere from white to very dark brown with some green and a light blue one too. I might call the local hatchery and see if I can get a few more americana pullets though, I only have 4 I think. I think there might be a cockoo marian in the bunch by how dark the one egg is that I get. I have a buff orp roo, and americana roo, and a very nice looking bantum cochin roo with the girls. What color guineas do you have, I would love to trade for those in the spring. Jenn

OK I'm gonna have to get in on this in the spring to when things crank up around here! In the spring I'll have toulouse geese eggs (their first laying year). I'll have embden geese, nonbearded silkies (all colors mixed together), rouen, mixed duck, and my pride and joy seramas. Anybody that will have turkey or geese eggs(other than embden or toulouse) I'll trade happily!! Oh and I do like mixed eggs to!

anyone with Toulouse or Welsummer eggs I will be happy to trade any eggs I have.. or buy them...

This is going to be their first year laying so I don't know how the fertility is going to be...hopefully we'll have some luck though

They are not Dewlap though...I'm on the search for them. Their is breeder about two hours away that I'm gonna get dewlap toul. eggs from in the spring though!

I would prefer Dewlap... but its ok if they arent... I found some dewlaps and the chicks are running about $50.00 each.. Which if I didnt have to ship I wouldnt really mind paying..

what the heck is a dewlap? This is great by the way that everyone seems to be onboard with this...we should all end up with some eggs from birds we like without the expense or uncomfortable position of having to ask our friends here for money except for the shipping of course. That would even just be waved because if you both sent eggs you could just both pay the shipping of your own eggs.

This rocks guys!
