we actually do have fertile (?) Blue OEGB eggs..have a hen sitting... however.. these are not show birds .. they are just pets.. not really sure what you will get color wise cause we bought these just because they were cute.. They were adults when we purchased so I dont know the pedigree.. We are throwing the eggs away.. anyone is welcome to them so long as you remember they are just for pets and not show..
Does anyone know if all post offices ship hatching eggs?? I know they dont all ship day olds..

Aghh it sucks that you are so far away Lurky. I have three Porcelain D'Uccle hens and a rooster, and I wouldn't mind parting with one.

Actually its ok, The bird i fell in love with was the porcelain OEGB bantam. Then on top of that, DH is about one chicken shy of ringing my neck. I promised if he let me get 2 silkies that would be it........I came home with 4. But its not my fault.....the person that was going to get the other 2 loses birds daily to predators. If i took all 4 babies, they would forever be safe. So you see, I followed my heart and i told him you cant blame 'my heart' because thats what led me to you. So i got off the hook on that. My new story is that ONE OEGB is so tiny, it cant eat much and wont take up much space. I wont push it too bad though as he is very patient with me....and i promise you thats not easy

Nice idea.
I currently have mixed together, mutts, buff orp, americanas, and a bunch of different hens that I am not even sure what they are. I also have some banties with them. Starting next spring I will have, In the same pen: silkies, showgirls, frizzles, and gold laced polish, this should make for some interesting babies. Then I will also have guineas, mixed herratige turkeys, geese, and call ducks, mixed ducks and mescovey ducks. The duck eggs will have to be a mix since I dont have many of any of them, I will have to separate the calls since they are so tiny and the mescoveys since if they cross with other types of ducks those babies hatched will be sterile. I should have plenty of guinea of various colors since right now I have 7 adults and 31 babies of different ages. I plan on getting more and selling some adults next spring to get a better color combination. I will be looking for blue slate or blue slate/ bourban red cross turkey eggs. Also I am always looking for turken cross eggs, gota love those ugly little birds. Jenn

Sounds like a great idea. I wouldn't want eggs until spring though. Winter is hell here.
I have blue bearded silkies, millie fluer d'uccle, seramas(work in progress),guineas,BEI ducks, silkie ducks and toulouse geese. I think thats all!!
I would really like to get some standered eggs, mixed flock and egg colors. Cold hardy of course.
