What do pregnant women like to here?

You know after reading this I got to thinking this must be a teenager, or young bachelor, but then I look in your profile and see you have a wife....a PREGNANT wife!!! Good grief, she truly must be forgiving to deal with you! Holy smokes, does she ever have my empathies. The thing you seem to be failing to realize is that it was 96 degrees here today. To a pregnant woman that feels like 136 degrees. They should be allowed to walk down the street naked if they so chose on days like today. Granted I was not out half naked, but my much more pregnant than I best friend was wearing pretty short shorts and a cute tank and WAS BEAUTIFUL!!!

Smack away!! I believe and teach my children that their bodies are their own, and need to give permission to be touched, other than by me of course. I love to hug my kiddies.

All of you pg, hand off, mamas need to go to www.cafepress.com They have a ton of maternity tees that say things like "Touch My Belly so I can Punch Your Face" ....LOL

* Could be worse. When Mom was about 8 months with kid brother, some lunatic got into a red-faced rage upon just seeing her while at the grocery store and tried to ram my mom with a full shopping cart!!!!! Talk about psycho.

If you see her every day , just to simply ask how she is doing first off should be appreciated. If she wants to share she will; if not, she will say she is fine. nevertheless, she knows you care enough to ask. and that could just be enough.

Being a guy, i was never pregnant, but I was/ am/ have been a 100% full time single parent. Just my point of view.

Ok, so as a Mother of 3....this is the one thing I haven't seen yet (sorry if I just missed it) but I know when I was pregnant I was big as a house. I still worked, talked, and acted the same as ever but the best thing in the world was being able to take a break and sit down and PUT MY FEET UP!
There is soooo much weight that you carry up front that your whole spine shifts (center of gravity and all) and your feet really take the burden. Elevating the feet is not only comfortable but healthy as it aids circulation to the legs.

She'll give you the lead when deciding what to talk about or how she feels or what ever....but try to encourage her to take little breaks now and then just put her feet up.

It will show you care, and you don't have to treat her like a fragile egg...you're just looking out for her whole state of being.

Aww.. Yeah my wife is one of a kind why do you think I married her. Duh. Oh and BTW, the wife agrees with me. Just because you are pregnant doesn't give you license to have your stuff hanging out. Modesty trumps all. Why would you walk around advertising stuff that's not for sale? Know what I mean? Would you want your daughter walking around with her boobs hanging out or wearing those "I have to shave to wear these" pants/shorts? I would hope not. So if it's not right for your daughter, it's not right for you. You are the example, not only for your kids, but everybody elses kids too.

Again, I understand being hot. As soon as the temp hits 70 I'm running for cover. I hate hot. Cold is my friend, when it's 50 degrees out side I'm a happy camper. So I get it. But I also don't go out in public wearing a wife beater and a speedo just 'cause "I'm hot".

d.k :

No state income tax, FCM. Gotta make the money somewhere.

We don't have state income tax either. But our state makes it up by higher property taxes and taxes on fuel. And our roads still stink! Of course the freezing/thawing of the roads doesn't help either.

This may not be exactly what you're looking for, but when I was about 19 months pregnant (well, it sure FELT that way!), I was standing in line at the grocery store with a small load of groceries. The woman in front of me said, you know what, you go in front of me. Soon you'll REALLY have your hands full and people won't be so nice!

She was right. Pregnant women get much more support that the mom who's toting a screaming toddler. I've always thought those "expectant mother" parking places should be yielded to moms with tots.

Another really nice thing...my boss and I were pregnant at the same time. One of the estimators at our company would occasionally bring us frozen lemonades.

I loved it when people talked to me about my pregnancy. I was so thrilled to be pregnant! I did not like strangers touching me -- never have, never will!

Treat your pregnant friends well, but also be nice to other moms. Shoot, why don't we just be nice to everyone!
