When they kick in, pm me, I'm sure I'll be right there with you.

I will definately get some Vit. D and change the light bulbs. It's amazing how shorter daylight hours, very little sun and not being able to get outside can affect your mood. I am very outdoorsy but cannot stand the cold.

If all of my family wasn't within an hour of me, I would move more south in a second. (Anyone down south want to send some ocean water and beach sand?) I do have a brother in Montana but I would want his weather for anything. LOL

I'd surely send you some sun, ocean water and beach sand, for a little cold weather down here! Its always just to hot for me! Go figure, and I was born here!

I really do make an effort to enjoy it. But when it is gloomy and grey for more than 2 or 3 days in a row...I start to not want to get out of bed.

I try to keep all of the lights on all day long and then I pull the shades at dusk and try to pretend that I dont know its dark at 4:30....silly but it works...sometimes.

Before Christmas I do a lot of planning for Advent and Christmas, and after Christmas I start planning my garden. I pour over seed catalogs and get books from the library. Basically I endure winter before Christmas and ignore it after Christmas.

OOOOHHH that's a good one. I need to plan out my gardens for next year so I can maximize space and also figure out how to build them up. Plus I want to start beekeeping so I need to read up that too.
I think I might buy a bouquet of flowers weekly . A nice vase of flowers is always a good pick me up.

Exercise. It's very easy for me to say, "Eww, too cold. I don't want to run today," but no activity puts me in a funk. I force myself to do indoor exercises, instead, which I hate, but it really does make you feel ten times better than if you hadn't. I strongly believe lack of sun and exercise are the major contributing factors to many people's feelings of blahness.

A friend of mine has a huge garden and found an intern beekeeper to bring one of her hives to his place. You may want to check this out too!

to keep the winter blahs away I go tanning off and on for a couple of months. The light and heat help with SAD

I do this everyday anyway and will continue to do so. I just hope we have alot of sunny days over the winter b/c that is what can make or break a day. LOL

I used to do the tanning thing but with both my parents having had skin cancer I don't want to increase my chances of getting it (although I probably already have).

Did your friend do that just for pollination purposes? I really want my own hive not only for that but for the honey and beeswax too. We love honey around here!
