with all the extra cockerels/roosters when you need to trim down the flock for cold weather?

Just surveying to see if I am missing an angle for downsizing.

I should have posted too that I do put some in the freezer, and I have sold some on Craigslist. I have a full freezer, and most people I know who said they would buy some chickens want the CRXs, which I already butchered, sold some and am keeping half of what i grew for my family. Just looking for other ideas. My family gets really irritated if I try feeding them too much chicken each week. They are a bunch of whiners. I could eat it every day and not get tired of it.

I put the last 9 roosters we culled in mason jars, and canned them. We haven't tried any because we still have some in the freezer, but it should keep one year canned.
