After tonight's trip to the auction, I will have:

1yr old:
2 RSL, 1 Light Brahama, 1 Australorp, 1 Barred Rock, 1 very pretty buff mix girl, and a guinea hen and a bantam rooster

12 wks:
1 Buff Orp, 1 Barred Rock, 1 RIR, 1 buff silkie, a trio of Ameraucana, and a trio of Black OEGB

8wks:
6 white leghorn

That is if I can manage to leave the auction without buying anything.

Speckled Sussexes, and one Golden Campine hen.

In terms of chicks this year, I have 'replaced' our original 3 dearly-departed red sexlinks, and got some EE chicks and 3 BBB turkey poults, plus some of our sussex and half-sussex chicks.

(e.t.a. - and some red broilers who are going into the freezer tomorrow)

we live in the city limits so we bought only 3 Buff Orpington pullets (5 weeks old yesterday). Turns out one is a rooster so we just got 2 White Plymouth Rock Bantams about 14 weeks old (because my DH saw how HUGE our BOs will be)!! LOL

What's funnier, is that my little Rooster, who is HALF the size of the rocks, put those two in their place when they started pecking the heads of the little BO girls.
