I love the looks of Games, I am all for the athletic "prehistoric" looking type.
I haven't got any adults yet, but I love the character/attitude on the young ones I have right now. I have got Saipans and Malays and I read they hatch tame, but I did not believe it was this true.
Esspecially the Sais are very tame, I got 8 of them, 6 pullets and 2 cockerals, I am not allowed to sit down in their enclosure unless I want all 6 girls to occupy my lap and shoulders. I can sit in there for 2 hrs straight and they will not move and just take a nap and let me handle them however I want without a fuss(usually being all relaxed with the eyes closed and preening me back if I gently scratch them with a finger).
The Malays are tame and curious but just are not as mellow as the Sais when it comes to just "hanging out" or "chillin" on my lap.
The roos are all still getting along and are super mellow, but they are only a month and a half old. They will bud-in a if there is a fight between 2 other birds of their 75 head(lots of dif. breeds) flock though (my leghorn cockerals are getting a bit cocky with one another and bud heads many times) and break it up. The girls don't really care.
From what I have been told I should never take out any of the hens later on, they will get along if they grew up together but that bond is broken as soon as a hen is removed for only a couple of hours. Does anyone have experience on that?
If not I guess We'll see, I will probably have 2 seperate breeding groups of each breed anyhow that will never be reunited once seperate.
Going to be interesting to see if Oriental games are my thing. Am totally in love with them now, we'll see if its gonna change when they are grown(I doubt it though).
My mother(although she does not like the looks) is enchanted with the characters too so far, reminds her of the fighting dog breeds, easy to handle and wonderful and friendly towards people(she's a dog person and loves pit bulls etc from the character).
They better be friendly when they are fully grown, nothing worse then having a 2-3 foot 10 lbs chicken not cooperating.
Anyhow, I guess anyone can tell I really like'em so far, so I I will stop rambling now,
Anna
