I thought of that too but was trying not to overloadI find myself wondering what would happen if the window is open and a downpour happens....
good idea, if he could move that window on the A part into the back it would make things much better. I'd like to see what other ventilation if there is too.Maybe you could add some hardware wire on the back for a window?
Thanks for the heads up! I do currently have chicken wire on all of the openings on the coop(plan to upgrade to hardware cloth asap!). The window does slid open for added ventilation and it's also not air tight when close so it'll hopefully help in the winter as well.I just expanded the 2 pictures of your duck house and I'm concerned about ventilation as well as security.
That window looks like it is either solid or can be slid open? If so, you need to have some hardware cloth on all of the open spaces or "things" will get in that house!
I have a 10x20ft canopy on its way thats going to cover both the coop and run for that exact reason and for shade. I plan to strap it to the run and reinforce the legs for added stabilityI find myself wondering what would happen if the window is open and a downpour happens....
Ya but like 21hens said, what are you going to do about a sudden downpour and your window is open. It's going to make a mess on the inside of the coop. I hope you don't take offense to this I'm just trying to help you and keep the ducks safe. Thanks for the heads up! I don't take any offense at all! I'm glad to hear any thoughts you all have! This is my first time keeping ducks so any questions comments concerns or criticism is completely welcomeYa but like 21hens said, what are you going to do about a sudden downpour and your window is open.
