What Do Your Ducks Do in the Snow?

either hang out in the house on the shavings, or waddle outside looking for food. when snow is actually falling, they usually stay in the majority of the time, once it stops, they back out there :p
they spend most of the time just sleeping since they got nothing else to do ;) no foraging, no water to swim in, no preening coz you just went swimming.....so on :p

oh and can you believe these noreasters?! we're supposed to get ANOTHER 5-8 inches next week, right on the *ahem* first day of "spring"....

We have a spring fed portion of little brook that generally stays open. This morning we busted some trail for them down to the water, and they spent more than an hour as the snow continued to fall!

The same things they do when it's not snowing :lau they really don't seem to mind it. I will find a duck sized hole in the ice on the duck pool. They do hang out in their house when it's windy though, sunny or snowy.

Our run is covered, and we have plastic up on two sides in the winter, so they can be out but in at the same time :)
