Did they have to carry their quackports?Back when I did have ducks, free ranged, our pond would freeze over but the neighbors pond where the water ran in would stay free so all my ducks would go trespassing lol.

Angus, one of our drakes, likes the drifts as well.My duckies love the snow! My drake in particular loves to plop himself into a nice new pile of fresh powder over and over again when he first gets let out. When I'm pouring water on top of their frozen pool, they'll belly crawl over the icy water like it's nothing.
What's in this soup? That's poetic! We're about to head out to feed them their soup.
It varies depending on what we have around. Veggi scraps, corn, peas, beans, raisins, some sort of greens, oatmeal, etc. in warm water. Always with a mealworm crumble on top! What's in this soup?![]()
When I had ducks, they never minded the snow. They would tuck their heads under their wings and sleep outside every night in the snow rather than sleep in the coop. Only on the coldest sub zero nights would they grudgingly head inside. Their little web prints in the snow were the cutest .
My chickens, on the other hand, are spoiled and won't set foot in the snow. It's funny watching them launch themselves from the coop step over top of the snow to get to the path I'm shoveling out to them. I have to shovel all around the coop to get them to come outside in the winter, spoiled little birds, lol.
ducks
thats very true, I would 100% agree with this post except MY chickens wont come out at ALL
