What Do Your Ducks Do in the Snow?

No, we are done with the snow in Ohio until next winter (hopefully). But I don't have ducks anymore, as of last August. So I miss seeing those little webby prints stomped all around in the snow lol. I like my chickens, but they just don't have the same cuteness level as ducks. Ducks are the cutest!
oh :hit

Why no more ducks @PotatoWaffles?

My SO and I moved to a nicer house, but it has a much smaller yard. We tried giving the whole backyard to the ducks and chickens the first year, but it left no yard for us, and they were terribly destructive lol. We decided to downsize the flock and focus on just chickens in a small run area. I didn't feel right about cooping up my ducks in a small run with no water to play in, so we gave them to my in laws, where they now live on a huge pond and are probably much much happier, and I can visit them from time to time.

My SO is much happier with just chickens now. He hated having to deal with cleaning their pool and having their drinking water get yucky every day, and the yard being a muddy mess. So if he's happier, I suppose that means I should be happier too, lol. I am happy to have my backyard back, though.

It's been a busy couple years! Lol

Understandable we have missed you on the duck forum.

Aww lol, I'm sorry. I kinda fell off of a lot of forums after we moved. Life suddenly got a lot busier. What brought me back the other day is kind of a sad story. We lost our favorite chicken to EYP a few days ago. I was doing some research online about it and was like, oh yeah backyard chickens, they'll know all about it! I forgot how good of a resource this website is. Soooo many knowledgeable people!
