But yes, Tenties are a breed unique to other terriers, including Mini foxies despite the fact people (byb, or people who are just clueless) will insisted on using the names interchangeably.

I think I read or heard that the miniature fox terrier was derived from the rat terrier. So was the American hairless terrier. I love learning about new breeds, nd now know the Tenterfield much better.

I absolutely hate BYB ruining breeds, and the breed history of dogs for profit. Most seem fairly ignorant about dogs in general, but speak like they are experts.

That's my biggest issue. I see too many ads for "Tenterfield terrier/Mini foxie puppies" if you don know or understand the CORRECT naming for the breed you've committed to raising you've lost so much credibility in my eyes.
Tentiefield terriers are a ANKC recognized breed, Mini foxies are not. If your dogs are registered with papers then they're Tenterfields and Tenterfields only. Why is is needed to call them Mini Foxies? To me it just sounds unprofessional.

That is one nice thing about having a dog that hates the cold. Dorie will go out and do her business then run in as fast as she can!
