Mine is 4. Oh wow that’s tall!!!!!!! Mine is only about 2 feet tall LOL and nah, no hate lol I used to be like that with him and still somewhat am (as long as it’s safe for him). Just the only reason I’m trying to change is because he’s gaining weight or was LOL I think he’s finally losing now but still. We have a big yard too but it’s not fenced anymore. It used to be but we took it down and haven’t put it back up yet. But we go on walks instead.

Something else I’ve noticed with mine, he had exceptional bladder control. Have you noticed that with yours?

Yeah, I don’t think he has ever had an accident even as a puppy which sounds crazy but he is REALLY good. Or if he has had an accident (I sometimes have a bad memory ), I’m pretty positive it was only like once LOL actually, the only thing he’s done wrong bladder wise is inappropriate marking a couple of times as a puppy/teenager but I don’t count those because it wasn’t an accident accident. Also, I probably should have mentioned a long time ago that he’s actually a mix. But he DOES have hound in him according to his test. I think it was foxhound though and beagle. Although the other test I did said coonhound LOL

Technically all goldens were bred to hunt. But show goldens typically are calmer and have a lot more fur. Field goldens are smaller leaner and have a ton of energy/drive. Then performance goldens arent as small but they excel in most sports the same as a field.

He looks happy! His vest says do not pet. Is that because he’s vicious or working? Or you just don’t like petting your dog? I personally don’t like ppl I don’t know petting my pooch. I mean he’s NEVER bitten anyone before..but how do I know what he’s thinking? My boy has a vest that says “allergic to people, do not touch” lol.

He is reactive, has been since around 9 ish months when a very large dog charged at him, he wasnt very friendly. And after that a few more dogs. We are just now getting to almost no reactions.
Unfortunately he also nipped once. Didnt get the person but i wont take a chance. He is just so nervous around people, and i dont just let anyone pet him if i do allow he is muzzled, for protection. I know exactly when he is going to react right when a person turns away, or for dogs if he gets a bit stiff.
Its mainly dogs he isnt okay with, people its 50 50. Some he likes and others he doesnt.

Allergic to people is a good one lol
Im making him another patch that says No Dogs. May have to make one like that.
He also needs a new harness. Just for patches. I also use it as a back up in case his collar breaks.

A muzzled dog is a great petting deterrent, at least for me it is. They look like Hannibal Lecter lol. I don’t blame you for taking precautions not just for the ppl, but your pooch doesn’t need the anxiety. Although he looks very snuggly

I don’t get why ppl do that. Or parents letting their kids run up to pet a strange dog. I understand they’re cute and cuddly looking but they have teeth and lots of them.
