What Dog Breed Do You Want Today!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

In many docked breeds there's a legitimate reason because of tail injuries and how hard they can be to heal. Bigger breeds with whip tails that love to wag them can have the most troubles.

Ear cropping really has no legitimate reason beyond the look of the dog, and the breed standard if someone wants to show their dog. I personally would like to see ear cropping go away. Many vets will no longer perform the surgery. I personally do not like the look of it.
I know! I am not at all against docking. I simply don’t like the look. I don’t like stubs on any dog. But I do understand the medical reason. And just for annoyance purposes 🤣 my family had a Doberman mix before and that tail… 😳 boy did it hurt. Honestly ear docking doesn’t bother me, unless I find that it is harmful for the dog besides the initial uncomfortable stuff. While I wouldn’t wanna do it, I kind of see why others would want to. Id much rather this awful breeding being done being attacked than something more trivial like tails and ears. But, I do kind of think it’s silly. People are so overly concerned about dogs appearance. It should be what’s inside that matters.

They do need to start focusing on health problems in purebred dogs.

Supposedly sometimes the ear cropping is for work like if they’re hog hunting or something so they don’t get injured but idk. I doubt many are doing that now.
That would make sense. I also understand for deterrent purposes. If someone is getting a Doberman mostly to help keep people off their property, floppy ears aren’t gonna be anywhere near as effective.

There are dogs down south that hunt hogs yet. I had forgotten about that. Best to crop ears for that.

I think she means the intention mixes. Happy accidents like Brew will still happen. Plus I like mixes. They do seem to be healthier.
Ahhh okay. I thought she might have meant that but still. I don’t mind mixes either as long as they’re being bred ethically like for health etc. and not just color or cuteness or something
