I had one as a kid. They can be protective, and somewhat neurotic. They shed a lot. It's a lot of dog, and you have to be prepared for it. I loved mine, but never owned another. I'm not a fan of the over sloping backs that they breed for now, and nearly all have some degree of hip dysplasia.

Today because my back is bothering me I want a 6 pack of Chihuahuas. For those saying they aren't good dogs you haven't met a well raised one. My best dog ever was half Chihuahua. My life will never be same. She was the best dog I ever knew, and she took most of my heart with her when she returned to heaven.

I would like a female french bulldog, or maybe one of those hairy greyhounds I only say female because male dogs take FOREVER to potty train!!! My male bullmastiff, over a year old, is still going poop in the house every day!! But my female GSP took like 2 months to potty train.
