Ive never met a Malamute. But i know a husky personally and he wanders at every chance he gets. They live out on acreage. But he does always return

We had one. She didn't wander, but had a lot of separation anxiety, and a high prey drive. She even tried to kill the goats. She also was able to flush and kill a pheasant when she was out on a horse ride with me once. She was good girl.

Seen some Australian Shepard/Pit Bull mixes on Craigslist the other day. Cute little fuzzy pittie looking pups. More of a handful then I would have time for.
