They are good looking dogs. Idk though, there’s something about them that makes me not want to get very close I’ll admire from a distance, thanks very much.

I do get it. They have such a bad wrap. The way they are socially perceived and the fact that they do look a little intimidating themselves doesn’t help.

A border collie is still kind of a want…I saw one in the park a few days ago catching a frisbee, he was gorgeous. Idk if I want to deal with the energy though…

"Understand" wasn't the right word, I think I meant conceptualize, for me personally

I do understand. They were/are bred to look intimidating and like squawkers said, they definitely have a bad rep because of bad breeding and bad or unprepared owners.
