Oh wow that’s wild!!!!!!! Hahah I’ve had male dogs with the screw you attitude too though LOL look directly at you as you are calling them then still run away anyway.Oh they're definitely affectionate, all my girl dogs are dopey and sweet and snuggly and they still like to follow me around, but they're not like my boys who need to maintain physical contact alllllll dayyyy in order to feel loved. The girls just also have that screw-you attitude that I vibe with, my first ever Aussie was such a butt-wipe but I loved her her more for it.
My boys can't even be dedicated to the bad dog life, if my pittie gets loose he runs for a minute, never leaves earshot, he has to touch base with me by booping me every couple of minutes, and he always comes back after about two minutes of frantic running. When my girl dogs get loose they run miles away and either come back bloodied from killing something, bloodied from getting shot, or sopping wet from skinny dipping on someone else's property and they all made eye contact while they made a beeline for freedom, almost like giving me the finger while I hollered for them not to abandon me

but I guess it makes it more fun depending on how you look at it. You just don’t like clingy?
