What Dog Breed Do You Want Today!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Our old dog is 14 and ready for the trip to the rainbow Bridge. He has water on the lungs (vet says), blind and deaf, legs don't work, we took him on a 4 day vacation, out of state, he farted, and stinky the whole time. We swore, when he goes that is it. Then we drove through a town where there lives the most Hispanic people in the whole state to get some yummy tamales. 3 chihuahua mix doggies were running in the street loose lost no collars. It took all our strength to keep going, we were an hr from, home (maybe if I had my van) I did some posts on social media, anyone else from that same town probably could not give them any better home. So sad.
I’m really sorry to hear that🙁

Even as I consider other breeds, pit bulls have left their pawprints, moved the furniture, knocked over the knickknacks and got their fur all over my heart (cats have done the same along with sharpen their claws on the furniture and the chickens have dug up the garden lol). That said, if I couldn't have another pittie probably a doberman or a rottweiler. I like big dogs that look big and tough but are actually big babies and are chill. The only reason I'd reconsider dobermen is they are very smart. Having a dog that's too smart can sometimes be a double edge sword, on the positive it means they are easy to train but on the other hand they can be quite mischievous if not mentally stimulated enough. That's true of any dog of course but especially one as smart as a doberman

For a while I wanted a mastiff of some kind but a 70lb pit bull ate enough, never mind a 170-200lb dog.
Akitas looked pretty cool but they require a lot of grooming and I am not entirely sure they're what I want out of a dog temperamentwise.

I've met many pits, some with bad temperaments, some with questionable ones, some with good and some with outstanding temperaments (and some that went from awful to wonderful), my first dog was a pit, my current dog is a pit, most of the dogs I've been around have been pits and when I see a pit (after asking the owner if it's fine of course) I want to pat their big blocky heads. They aren't perfect but if the Lord keeps blessing me with such wonderful pitties I will continue to own them

I miss having a dog. I am not really in a position to care for one now, but I really miss my Pugs. Pugs are wonderful companions. To me they also look like the result of a bad blind date between a gargoyle and a manatee.
I've always wanted a pug. They are more my energy level these days. I like the black ones best.
