What is a really interesting psychological disorder?

I was going to say bi-polar or schitzophrenia.

Or what about that one where mom's harm and kill their babies for the attention...munchhowsen's disease? I don't know how to spell it. That's a weird one for sure.

Bi-Polar is a fascinating illness, if you do not suffer from it. It can have all sorts of secondary manifestations, too. I suffered from Trichotillomania, compulsive hair pulling, when my Bi-polar was exploding onto the scene, and was totally mis-diagnosed (which is common - the misdiagnosis part, that is) I was almost completely bald, and ended up shaving my head to stop the compulsion. I was bald for about a year until things sabilized.

I now have a headful of long hair, and absolutely no compulsion to pull it out, except when my boy starts acting like a teenager!

Where you need someone close to you to be very sick to siphon off the sympathy for yourself.

I butchered the definition I'm sure, but it's a hypochondria that's forced on other people.

My assignment is to find 10 articles and then write summaries for them all separately and then combine them into a big book. It is most of my grade for the class.

I say I will just do OCD if I can't find anything because I'm pretty sure I have that (mildly) so it would be kinda interesting. But some of these other ideas look cool.

I go with bipolar disorder. Maybe narrow it down to bipolar in prisons. You would be amazed how many prisoners are bipolar and how they typically lapse once out because they do not have medication coverage once they are out.

I find my MIL's Histrionic Personality Disorder fascinating when it is not irritating me.
Especially the drama queen part.
